Thank You.

We often scroll through our Facebook feeds, pausing at milestones— graduations, weddings, new jobs, home purchases. These are huge and wonderful events that are worthy of celebrating but sometimes the quieter victories go unnoticed:
When the sun sets on our days, most of us retreat to the safety and security of our beds for the rest we so desperately need …. for hundreds and hundreds of kids in foster/kinship care that is sadly not the case. This current bed shortage is a fairly new epidemic known as “bed poverty.” Having a bed to sleep in is critical for children’s development and well-being. It is essential for physical and cognitive development as well as increased confidence and reducing stress. Because of the present shortage, coupled with the huge need, most organizations are not able to help provide beds for kids now. But because of the VF donors, since January 2025, we have continued providing beds for foster/kinship kids at an average of five to six a week. Thank you!
